MOUNT VERNON, Ill. (July 17, 2014) – Sansone Group and Pine Tree Commercial Realty LLC are proud to announce the opening of Big Lots to Times Square Mall. Pine Tree and Sansone Group own the 269,328 square-foot shopping center in partnership with Elgin, Ill.-based Wanxiang America Real Estate Group.
Big Lots’ joins Hobby Lobby, rue21, and Ross Dress for Less as the regional mall’s newest tenants. The largest broadline closeout retailer in the United States, Big Lots opens the doors to its new 32,022 square-foot store on July 17 with a Grand Opening scheduled for July 25.
“As Times Square Mall’s newest addition, Big Lots will offer real value and convenience to the community,” said Bruce Boruszak, Executive Vice President at Pine Tree Commercial Realty. “They join several other fantastic retailers in what has become quite an exciting time of rejuvenation for Times Square Mall.”
Times Square Mall is located on the southeast corner of Broadway Street (State Route 15) and 42nd Street in Mount Vernon, a regional retail hub about 80 miles east of St. Louis. JCPenney, Dunham Sports and Peebles anchor the center, which is further complemented by national retailers GNC, Maurices, Claire’s, Bath & Body Works, Glik’s, Shoe Sensation, Subway and Wendy’s.
